How to Write Your Own Electronic Book
One of the easiest methods to gain standing, leads, credibility and trust from your customers is to write your own electronic book.
Many folks are threatened by the thought of making their own ebooks but the reality is, the process is terribly straight-forward and it can be enormously moneymaking. If you’re already involved in activities like blogging, article marketing and creating relations with newsletters, an ebook is just one step beyond in the whole process but can truly give your credibility rating an additional boost.
Here are six steps about the way to write your own ebook courtesy of Eben Pagan Ignition program:
1. Select a topic for your target audience. Don’t make this into a massive product. Pick something relatively narrow inside a major subject. So, for example, if the main topic is “internet marketing”, select something that fits inside that category like “article marketing”, or you might go even farther and shave it down to “keyword research for article marketing”.
keep in mind that for an e-book to work how you need it to, it must actually look at the issues, concerns, or needs of your target audience. The content must be top-notch.
2. Brainstorm. Write down each idea you have, walk away and come back and write more. Put down everything for the moment.
3. Organize your ideas into an outline. Divide your ideas into headers, subheaders, chapters and write descriptions of each point you include. Make sure to maintain a tally of your references and write those down too.
4. Research. Hopefully you have picked a subject that you are familiar with already but whether you have or haven’t you will need to do research to make your content as valuable as possible. Take notes, mark references and use quotes as you write your own electronic book.
5. Put all your organized ideas and research into a very long article of at least thirty pages – this is your ebook!
6. Get a second viewpoint. Chances are you’ll spend quite a bit of time on this undertaking. Ensure that you step back every once in a while to give yourself a break. And when you’re close to the end, ask some other person to read it for a more objective opinion. Whether it’s your mate, better half or a fellow marketer, make sure you get a good, honest critique and, if feasible, edit of your work.
Once you are finished, you can either sell your e-book from your blog or site or you can offer it free of charge for people who sign up – the goal of this is to build your list.
If you decide on the first option, you’ll have to set up a shopping cart system. You don’t have to charge a lot for your ebook to make money and as it doesn’t cost anything to form the book (if you don’t count the time you spend on it) so anything you sell will be a profit.
So now are you ready to pen your own ebook?
