Primary, make sure that your article contains new information, and not your ads. A good ad usually looks just like an ad and press releases looking like advertisements are usually the less effective ones. Find something about your company which is unique and you believe might make an interesting story and construct your press release around it.
After you have a good story, you will want to make sure that your press release actually gets noticed by someone who can do something with it. There is a great variety of  free websites which offer press release distribution but if you are willing to see some great results you it may require paying for some publicity. Now there is the option of having someone do it for you and you can find someone who can get it done for less than 100 dollars if you know where it is better to look. However, if you follow these guidelines and can create a decent piece on your own you can still do very well. Start with interesting opening as to the idea of the piece. If you don’t accomplish this, it is likely that it will not get read.
Verify that the press release is interesting enough to stand on its own as a story. Provide not just an info, do something to give it an emotional edge like describing involved. People love to read about people. Finally, make sure that the press release is also information and educational. Selling is educating people about what you offer and and the value they are going to get so if you provide some education and not promotion you can an still use your message to help you to sell.
So go ahead and get your plan together to set up your press release and see what kind of attention it brings you.

PostHeaderIcon Find An Article Directory To Help Get Links

To get the most out of web marketing, you need to concentrate on both advertising AND natural search engine traffic. The first is easier to do, as there are tons of great marketing firms out there that can knock it out of the park with web advertising. An often ignored area, or at least undervalued, is building up natural search engine traffic. The reason is its harder to build up for each desired keyword and takes a lot of effort. Once done properly, you have built in traffic without spending a dime on marketing costs, and this traffic is permanent. Article directories are an important part of this effort and should be used for maximum benefit.

Using an article directory allows users to post content related to their website, and include links in this content back to their site. Currently, the search engines view some of the more established article directories as an authority source, so any posts to them get added impact in rankings. So ignoring this source of links is a mistake. While it can seem difficult to write so much content to be submitted to article directories over time, in the longer run it really will pay off.

To get the maximum benefit from using an article directory, you need to be able to spin your content. What is spinning? Its really very simple. It simply uses a computer program to auto substitute words and sentences randomly in place of what is written. So you might create something like “The dog is brown”. If you wanted to take this and spin the content, you could easily say “The dogs fur is white” or “The dogs fur is yellow in color”. They all say basically the same thing, just in a slightly different way – all of them talk about the dogs fur color. Doing this with your articles can actually create huge amounts of “new” content from a single article you write. Sure you have to provide the alternatives to substitute with, but then a computer does all the rest. This will give you maximum impact and protect you from getting penalized by the search engines for duplicate content submitted to article directories.

Changing the content around on a main article allows you to submit the content to multiple article directories and not worry about duplicate content.

10 or 15 copies of the same article submitted is totally fine, but you do not want 200 copies of the exact same article text submitted to directories on the web.

PostHeaderIcon Quick & Easy Squeeze Page Psychology That Increases Conversions

Before setting up your squeeze page you need to take a moment to think about things from your website visitor’s point of view and really try to get inside of their head.  There are a lot of quick and easy, yet subtle, changes you can make that will increase the chances that your viewer will opt in.

In the early days we could create a squeeze page, offer a free ebook and add in some smooth talking catch phrase.  This was pretty much all we needed, but people are getting smarter.

That’s right, the consumer has gotten wise to the fact that we want to market to him, so we need to be more cunning and use tested and proven strategies to overcome this.

People Are Getting Smarter

One of the most common things we hear experts say about how they increase their squeeze page conversions is also one of the simplest (and yet under-used) things.  In fact, if you think about how the psychology of this all plays together it’s a no brainer.

What am I talking about?  Color psychology.  If you’re not doing split tests to see what converts best on your squeeze page then you’re cheating yourself and if you have something of high quality that your viewers could truly use and get a sincere benefit from, then you’re cheating them too.

Besides, why would you want to spend time setting up a squeeze page that’s just “ok” when you know that with just a little bit more effort you can increase optins by 10% or more?

One Of The First Things To Consider Is Color Psychology

Color Psychology Can Have A Huge Impact On Your Business

Blue is a soothing color. Black is a color of authority and power. White is a color of purity and innocence. It’s also a lot easier on the eyes, which is why the body of most websites is white, no matter what color the outer background is.

You’ll notice that these are probably the 3 most commonly used squeeze page background colors and now you know why.

Gray on the other hand is more practical, as it’s a neutral and will not make the viewer feel pushed too hard.  However, try not to go overboard with this as you want your website visitor to do one important thing….TAKE ACTION, not overlook the main offer in the soft boring overly relaxing environment you’ve created.

Stop for a moment to think.  If you were visiting a squeeze page and you saw all this soft gray everywhere would you really feel that the offer was JUMPING OUT at you in a compelling  way that made you feel like you just have to have this right now?

The odds are that in most cases, unless the offer is drop dead amazing, you will not feel motivated to take action.

This brings us to the color red, which is guaranteed to draw in your viewers attention.  Often this is where the eyes are going to feel pulled to first, which is why most of the best copywriters will use the color read in their important headlines or to break up larger chunks of black text in their sales copy.

However, on your squeeze page, it is often better to use a slightly darker color of read for text only to GRAB your readers attention.  In most cases using this as a background color or using a red that’s too bright can be hard on the eyes and cause your visitors to lose interest and go somewhere else.  This is not what we want.

Here are just a few more that I’ll go over quickly, as they’re not as common, but it is important to know the effects that they can have on your squeeze page if you’re using these colors.

  • Green is a color of growth, nature and money.  It is also a very calming color if used the right way.
  • Yellow is a cheerful color.  This is the color we associate with the sun and therefor it is also very energetic by nature.
  • Orange is also a very energetic color, one that some might feel is a bit flamboyant and loud, but not too over-powering.
  • Purple is a color of nobility, traditionally used with kings and queens in the middle ages, hence it carries a touch of class with authority.

I could go on and on about the importance of color psychology when setting up your squeeze page, but I know that most of my readers are like me.  I’m always on the go and busy, so I don’t have time to be burdened with too much reading.

That’s why I’ve decided to break things down in to what I’ll call mini squeeze page lessons.  If you have a bit of time I strongly recommend that you go to Google, or your favorite search engine, and do some research on this topic.

In the meantime, I’m going to bring this to a close for now, but not to worry.  I’ll be back with more articles soon that will help you to continue increasing your optin conversions.
