There is so much hoo ha about Twitter kill Google and Twitter being the future lookup tool. Every non tech person (the mass user) I know uses either EBay, Google or Amazon to buy something, with Google probably being the first choice. They do this because it is hassle free, its so easy to type into search and away you go. Two it’s relevant, Google have never let me down when I want to purchase something, they deliver the most trusted sites to me. Now what could these product searches do alternatively? Search on Twitter and get conversations? No thanks, or create an account and ask your 0 followers to aid you? Or I know, grow your network communicate with people you do not know and ask them, but why? Why would anyone do that? People have busy lives and they do not have adequate time to forever update their tweets. What easier solution then to go to Google and type in what you are looking for, does it have to be genuine time. No, not at all, trusted products from trusted sites which have reinforced that trust with hard work and ingenious advertising.

{Let’s skip the introduction to Donald Trump (as I’m sure you’re familiar) and go straight to our discussion of his latest project “The Trump Network.”

So what’s this ‘Trump Network’ I’ve seen advertised all over Google?

The Trump Network is a Network Marketing company that sells nutritional products, which are personalized to the consumer through metabolic testing.  The brand is built around the success of Donald Trump, and as of right now, it is getting quite a lot of ‘buzz’ online.  Hoards of distributors are packing their bags on other great opportunities to flock in to the Trump Wagon.  Together with Efusjon, about 10 juice companies, and Genewize, 2009 is proving to be ‘The Year Of The Pre-Launch’.  I wonder if this was predicted by the Mayan Calendar.

What product line does The Trump Network promote?

Trump has built a new nutritional technology based off of weight loss and personalized ‘metabolic typing’ (whatever that means).  The idea is that with the rise of the highly obese, unhealthy, rich baby boomers, that zillions of otherwise non-health conscious people will flock around this new brand of products, all while holding hands and singing ‘Kumbaya’.

(I was thinking about bringing my bong to the international convention)…  Baby boomers love weed, too.

Now THAT’S a company that I want to start.  ‘The Weed Network’.  If Obama would legalize pot, then all you’d have to do to get rich is walk outside of any high school, find the kids that hang out by the overpass, and say ‘hey man, if you just find five people who find five people who want to get stoned – you’re going to be one rich dude!’

I guarantee no one would even ask if it was a pyramid scheme – they’d be too busy laughing and skipping school and saying ‘this is SOOOO cool man…’

Of course, I’m kidding – but only a little.  You see, ever since the advent of the internet, about every 3 months the ‘latest and greatest MLM’ comes out and masses of frustrated Network Marketers flock to join ‘before it’s saturated’.  The hope is that The Trump Network, unlike their company that they’re in now, will somehow magically work for them when nothing in the past has.

Why The Trump Network CAN’T make you rich:

I’m going to have about 100 people complain to me about this the second it’s released.  I’m going to get comments like ‘The Trump Network is awesome, blah blah blah, you’re just jealous.’

I don’t want you to misunderstand – the Trump Network IS a good company.  In fact, out of the 3 zillion pre-launches of 2009, they probably have about as good of a chance to succeed as any other – and they have a decent product idea, too –

What I’m saying is simple.  The people who make all of the money launching companies aren’t the masses, quite frankly.  They’re people who have gigantic databases of distributors from PAST SUCCESS that they built the hard way.  Don’t you realize that all of these ‘Gurus’ simply take their list to a company when it first starts and send out a simple email like this one:

Twitter has been one of the biggest sites for over a year now, people are literally obsessed with tweeting. But the main problem with Twitter is that it has never really had a business plan or model before. If you look at things such as Facebook who are now earning millions of pounds of revenue from ads.

But lately Twitter have been redesigning their homepage and if you currently visit it you will come to see that it looks a lot like a search engine. Is this the avenue that Twitter should be taking? And should they really be going up against Google.

Ok real time searching is all very well and good, but I really think that Twitter will not be able to compete on Google’s level until they actually begin crawling and ranking sites.

They can of course keep the chatter and talk going but what happens when people actually want to see information about a site that has buzz.

But if Twitter actually think about this carefully then they could begin to out smart the likes of Google and Microsoft. Instead of actually ranking sites on onsite and offsite factors they can instead do it from the Twitter platform. Twitter will grow to reach every place in the world so anything that is currently being talked about deserves to get the coverage and because it is all controlled by Twitter they will easily be able to control the spam.

Anyhow if this does happen you can expect that Google will be doing everything in their power to take control of Twitter and integrate the algo into their search.
