The economy we are in is pretty bad.A lot of people are suffering job losses.If they haven’t suffered a job loss more than likely they have experienced a pay cut.Or the hours that they have to work is getting cut. Because of that many people are in search of ways to make money.  One of those ways people look to is mlm network marketing.When the economy is bad, that industry is one that prospers.But what is the way to find success in network marketing. Here are some methods that will help you find success.

First of all network marketing businesses are work.One of the things that isn’t good about network marketing is how they advertise it as being so easy.It is nowhere close to being easy.And like anything in this world, to make money is difficult.But sadly a lot of people will join because they think that it is going to be easy.They are able to find out quickly what the truth is.  And most are unwilling to do what it takes and quit.

But there will be some methods you can do to make it.  One of those ways is to learn how to do MLM lead generation.  In MLM you have to have leads.There isn’t a thing you can do to get around it. Prospects joining your company is the key to success.  Without leads to talk to you, your network marketing venture will fail.

Another thing you can use is the internet.  The internet and network marketing are a perfect combination.Used both in conjunction someone can grow a huge MLM team quickly. There are millions of people on the internet.  And by learning how to reach those people a person can have an endless supply of leads.So there are ways that you can use to gain success for any network marketing business.But they will all be required to work.But because of the way network marketing has been portrayed a lot of people think it will be easy.Or they just fail to continue because of the amount of work they think it will take.But if you are able to learn those methods success can be yours.And the moment you do, that is when everything becomes easier.

I had a conversation with a co-worker today as he was explaining to me why he had to make a new commute from where he used to be located to the downtown office which is about 45 miles from the city he lives in.  As the conversation went on he explained that he was told to move his office location here because he wanted to work and there were changes coming.  

I went on to tell him I had heard some of the others in our group were going to be leaving and his reply was “well the only other alternative is winning the lottery”.  And that was when it hit me, he could not see any other possibilities at age 58 than he has ever seen.   And this is why people fail at Network marketing business opportunities. 

We all go in with tunnel vision seeing and thinking in a certain manner not able to imagine anything other way of doing things.  We somehow convince ourselves that we are doing things right, and that there is no other way to make it in this business.  Unfortunately we too often find out many month or even years later that what we thought was right was really all wrong. 

As a network marketer you must be ever vigilant for new and better ways of marketing your network marketing business opportunities because the landscape is always changing and new ways of promoting, driving traffic, and converting prospects evolve all the time.  That being said be sure as part of your scheduled activities (you do use a schedule for your business activities) you plan time in for research look for new opportunities and check to see what others are doing to be successful. 

One of the best places I find to gather this information is network marketing opportunity forums and blogs.These are very good resources for information, tools, and resources much of which is free.  The thing to remember is people by nature like to help other people and are more than willing to help anyone who will listen to them (plus it give them a chance to advertise themselves). 

Network marketing business opportunities are all over the internet but be careful not to fall for scams which are also out there waiting on the next unsuspecting person to come along so they can take you for your money before you ever start doing a single thing.If you run across and (opportunity) that wants you to pay upfront be sure to take a second and third look into it before you get involved because it might be a scam.    Most legit network marketing business opportunities will offer a free trial to start!

1.  Most lead capture pages that distributors have aren’t very effective, and haven’t been tested properly.  So the traffic that they do get is wasted.  The number one priority of yours in your MLM business is to get a lead system that converts visitors into sales and distributors.  However, this article is making the assumption that you already have this set up, and we are going to move on to the second problem.

2.  Most people who use effective lead systems don’t get enough traffic to their site for the systems to work (which basically means their wasting their money on the site – you need traffic to get leads).  The simple truth of the matter is that you need THOUSANDS of visitors to your site each month to generate the kinds of leads you need to be successful – this can be difficult and expensive if you don’t know what you’re doing.

If you don’t have thousands of dollars per month to spend on advertising, article marketing can give you a real, significant boost when you’re starting.  For example, article marketing brought more than seven thousand unique visitors to the last website I started in the first six weeks.  Now granted, I know what I’m doing so I get higher, faster results than are typical for a beginner, but most of that success can be chalked up to one simple daily habit:

Each day I make sure to write one article and submit it using a specific system, even when I don’t feel like doing it.  That’s all.

Now I haven’t been doing article marketing for very long, yet I’ve already generated more visitors than 99% of everyone who ever markets their business in this way – and it’s because I wrote one article a day for the last five weeks.  This article you’re reading right now was my effort for the day.  Yesterday, I wrote an article about a well known pre-launch MLM company called The Trump Network.  Two days ago, I did a report on a well known MLM trainer which has already received more than three hundred views.

I write ONE article per day.

One of my favorite quotes is from a MLM guru I met named Brad Duncan.  Brad told me “I make the money I do because I do the simple, daily, consistent things that everyone knows that they should do, but nobody does, and I’ve been doing them daily for 20 years.”

It doesn’t take too much time research some quick keywords and write an article – in fact, half the time I don’t even do any research at all, I just do some quick brainstorming and write an article from my imagination.  (Like this one – no keyword research was involved.)

The funny thing is, while all my competitors are looking for ‘the perfect keyword’, I’ve gotten more than 2,000 views on my main website in the last 30 days from articles that didn’t contain one smidgeon of research whatsoever to complete.  They were concerning subjects I know a great deal about and I didn’t even bother to check if people are searching for them.  I just took 20 minutes and wrote them up.  I’ve gotten more than 50 leads from those articles alone.

So here’s my challenge:

There are three different products you can focus on selling in your business. (I know, I know, you have ‘50 products’ or whatever – just hear me out).

The first thing you can sell in your Network Marketing business is your actual company product. (fancy that). This is the realm of more than 80% of MLM distributors – attempting to make sales by talking about how ‘exciting’ their new magic lotion is. (Now don’t be mistaken, I buy as much magic lotion as the next burly man out there) ‘Magic lotion’ could be replaced with your vitamins, travel products, or whatever else you’re trying to promote – the concept remains the same.

The bad part about running all over the universe promoting your product wherever you can is that you’re probably not making very much money doing it, are you? I know, there was that one guy who your friend Bill knew who knew a gal named Susan who had an uncle who got rich wearing a shirt that said ‘I swam naked in algae’ – but is it working for you?

The second product you can be selling in your MLM business is your opportunity. As they say in Amway ’sell the dream’. One of the most challenging things someone could ever do is to invite all of your friends, family, neighbors, and relatives to your home and ‘pull out the white board.’

It would almost be easier to convince an elephant to become a bird. Seriously – I’m not saying this as someone who hasn’t been successful doing home meetings – I built an organization of over 1000 people in 6 months, part time doing nothing but home meetings and hotel meetings. Just being honest, though, it was a huge pain, and I hated it.

Every night, 6-7 nights per week I was driving all over town ’selling the dream’. I stopped going to church as much as I like, I didn’t hang out with my friends on weekends, I didn’t date…

(I guess I never did much of that…)

My point is – who cares that I made money. It sucked. I would rather eat plain butter.

So if you take away the products, and you take away the opportunity – what is there left to sell?
