One of the things that all businesses need is leads and customers.Businesses who go without it are destined to fail.  So businesses are constantly trying to figure out how to get more leads.  One of the obvious ways is through advertising.

In this article I will share a couple of methods that aren’t your typical ways to advertise.  Although it isn’t your usual type of advertising it is effective.Those ways are going to be with the use of mobile billboards and electronic billboards. Both of these methods go into the category of advertising called outdoor media.  This is coming from a perspective I have gotten running my San Diego mobile billboards business.

People in general will know what outdoor media advertising is.They are more used to the regular billboards.  But the ways I mentioned can be more effective because they can grab your prospects attention.  That has been the case with my electronic billboards San Diego.  By not just being a static sign but a beautiful vibrant ad it grabs their attention.It is a verifiable fact that people’s attention are grabbed by it.That is the reason why a few cities have banned the use of it because driver’s tend to get distracted by it.

Or if you use mobile billboards or what I use in my San Diego truck advertising business.Which uses trucks to be the advertising mobile billboard.  This grabs people’s attention because the ad is right there with them on the streets.It is in traffic right there with them.So an ad that is nicely designed with beautiful colors will grab your prospects attention.

As it is evident both types of advertising with outdoor media aren’t typical.But that is the reason why they do work is because they are different.With everybody’s attention span being so short you have to do things different.This is not what they typically see so it can get your ad seen and read.And as a business and advertiser, that is your ultimate objective.  This will accomplish more leads and more customers.

What is a mobile billboard?  Well as most of you already know what a regular billboard is, a mobile billboard is exactly the same thing, except it is moving or mobile.

You can see it in various forms.  You can see it in San Diego truck advertising, or vehicles built specifically to carry billboards around.

Why are there a lot of businesses using this type of advertising to get their message to the consumers?  I have some unique insights I am going to share that I have gained from running my own mobile billboards San Diego company.

First off, let’s talk about it’s expenses.  Mobile billboards prices are actually very comparable if not better than your traditional outdoor media such as traditional billboards.

With the cost being very competitive if not better there is another advantage that weights it in it’s favor.Actual views, exposures, or impressions to the prospects.

Compared to regular billboards a consumer could just drive by it without noticing it.  But the way a mobile billboard displays it’s message, it is more effective.  And the way it does it is by being right in the consumer’s face.  You can’t just drive by it.  It is at eye level and with you in traffic

This is powerful.A consumer who is going through traffic, with an ad message right in their face can’t be turned off.

That is one of the obstacles that TV and Radio face as traditional forms of advertising.  With the advent of Tivo and satellite radio, a consumer could practically live commercial free.

So opting to go with mobile billboards gives the advertiser the ability to have their message read and impressed upon the consumer’s mind.

If you want to build brand recognition as a business, there aren’t too many better ways to display your ad than by showing it in beautiful color as a full color display ad.  It screams for attention.  And when the consumer really has nothing better to do in traffic, you really don’t have to scream that loud.

With the economy and a lot of businesses struggling, mobile advertising may just be the ticket to save their business.More customers and more leads are going to come based on this form of advertising. 

You are going to get exposure.You are practically ensured of having your ad read.What else could an advertiser want.

You can see that it is effective by the fact that many businesses are now using it to advertise.In 2004 by itself, there was more than $5.8 billion used on this type of advertising.  With all that money being spent, it must be working.

So for businesses looking for a shot in the arm for more customers, this might be the ticket they are looking for.
